Laurel Farm Kindergarten located in Carlingcott, Peaesdown St john has received LEVEL 3 school Gardening award from Royal Horticultural Society.
Laurel Farm Kindergarten is a Waldorf Early Years setting for children age 3-7 based on 7 acre small holding with animals, fields and growing woodland to explore.
This year we have started the gardening project with generous support and grant from Party in the Park Grant Fund. We have purchased gardening equipment for children, provided homes and habitats for wildlife and planted seasonal vegetables and flowers in our dye plant garden . Our efforts and learning has been recognised by Royal Horticulture Society with level 3 school gardening award.
As a part of award Laurel Farm Kindergarten will received seasonal fruits and vegetables ( plants) that will be deliver three times per year and thus will continue providing gardening experience and outdoor learning for children and parents throughout the year.
