The Well in the Village ~ Steiner Waldorf Teachers’ Conference

The Theme
An opportunity to explore questions relating to diversity, equality, individuality and community.
The Conference
We have built on the success of last year’s online Steiner Waldorf National Teachers’ Conference and put together a full and enriching online programme for Easter 2021. Although this is the UK National Conference, we are delighted to be able to welcome participants and contributors from around the world.
We have a wonderful line up of keynote speakers and time allocated for discussion of the important themes they will cover each day. We have also included educational seminars and artistic workshops, just as we were able to last year. There will be a sprinkling of songs and music throughout the programme offering you the opportunity to join in and sing if you choose and to learn new songs to take back to your classrooms.
An evening of comedy, music and storytelling
This year we are excited to introduce an evening of comedy, music and storytelling as well as the evening talks that have been a well-established aspect of previous conferences. We are delighted that talented and critically acclaimed comedian Joe Wells will start the evening with his take on neurodiversity. Watch a little snippet of his comedy routine about his non-autistic brother, which has over 1 million views across platforms.
Sources of nourishment and renewal in the Waldorf community
Each Steiner Waldorf school is like a unique house in a village of many dwellings that may differ in size and design, yet also have much in common. At the centre is the village well: a place for gathering life – sustaining liquid but also for meeting and exchanging news and ideas, for embracing our diversity, for finding friendship, for planning and discussing common projects. In these times of change, let us discover the qualities that nourish and inspire us: what – and who – do we find when we visit the well? Join us in celebrating community in diversity, and in discovering what may sustain us for years to come! ~Sven Saar, UK Steiner Waldorf National Teachers’ Conference Steering GroupKey details
